Certainly, our 3rd world country has gone through many unpleasant governance. The question is who is it that we should blame or what is it?
We had our fair share of revolutions, some are neccessary, some trivial, some are just plain mobocracy brought about by the hungry, volatile, innocent/ignoramus and narrow-minded people out there. Shivers run through my spine when I see them on TV being interviewed and they share their opinion which are stupid.
The educated (opposition) politicians and people-of-power fuel these riots by stirring up the naive people’s emotions. They tell them partisan "information" which blinds the public of the entire truth and robs them of their right to be given the spectrum of correct facts and the right to judge for themselves. These people are very firm on their (induced) conviction willing to sacrifice themselves. But alas it’s a shame. They only care for our country but they lack the sensibility to analize and discover the real facts and correct course of action for the greater (long-term) good. I think it’s suicide to keep taking it to the streets to oust a president. It’s getting very tiring and annoying (especially the people in NCR who think they speak for the entire country.) "The foreign investors are not amused." That’s why our prices for comodities go up and up and up because we’re getting poorer due to this. Of course, there are other factors but this one beats the heck out of the others in terms of negative effects. Unfortunately, the poorly educated rioting squatters don’t know the intricacies of the stock market and international economics.
I saw DEBATE two nights ago and it truly revealed a lot about the issue. The pro-oust side are totally on soft ground foaming with blabber. The first one is a politician who clearly doesn’t go to all the meetings, he didn’t really say anything substancial. The second one is the smartest of them all. He’s an attourney but clearly he has nothing real to share. His analogies are designed to convince the easy-to-please-with-english-drama Pinoys. With his antics, clearly, he was just appealing to the stupidity that is the narrow-mindedness within the people. The third of them is the most stupid. Educated people can just tell that he doesn’t know anything about the law, sociology and politics. He’d better stick to acting. Nino Mulach is also there to share his equally stupid, non-contextualized, emotion-laden and non-substantial comments. It’s nothing but inciting to sedition. "We must rid of emotion in order to see things clearly." Shame on those who manipulate the emotions of masses for their selfish gain. Shame on those who talk about their children to appeal to emotion. Shame on those who buy all their drama.
The other side can’t be more pragmatic about the situation. Pragmatism is exactly what the country needs. Now is the time to make the legal system work for the Filipino people. There should be a real investigation conducted by a non-partisan body. We need solid evidence, evidence beyond any doubt. We need evidence in black and white; objective evidence which cannot be interpreted in any other way but the fact that it is. This is what a real concerned citizen should require and no less. If indeed guilty, then follow the corresponding punishment through a completely legal and regulated process. Immerse her in boiling baby oil if that is the right thing to do in the eyes of the law.
All this excitement about the "Hello Garci" CD are extremely premature. It just shows how Pinoys just do stupid things without thinking deeply about its bigger effects.
My concern is of the well-being of our country in the long-run. Our economy is fragile and pathetic. Our people are cry-babies and full of complain when for sure this is entirely our fault. We get excited by celebrities and vote them for president. They embarrass our country whenever they visit abroad because they don’t know anything. "We earn P100 a day and have 12 children and complain about the poor lifestyle and high prices." You can’t afford to send your 12 kids to school, you hardly have enough food for everyone, they become criminals, squatters, stupids, unemployed, possibly get lucky and marry somebody and have another 12 babies and squat elsewhere; it’s a disease. We complain of corruption but don’t bother to find ways to monitor our politicians correctly. I’m sure you even avail of these corrupt officials whenever you can.
Minor celebrities who also want to get into politics jump in into the foolishness of these opportunists. They want to get into politics because they can get more money there (with corruption.)
This is the chance for us to show that our legal system works. Allow a real investigation. File the case in court and have a real trial free from politicing. When we can prove that our legal system works without any unneccessary theatrics then maybe investors can have faith in this country of ours. If we can show that an organized system can work, who knows, maybe the people will change once they see it,perhaps it will encourage social participation and order for the betterment of this land.
"Don’t let people tell you what is right and what you should do. Know the whole truth, clear your mind and listen to the deeper cry of your country."
How can you love your country best?
